How we began
Founder Hye-jin Park spent eight years as a category manager at a Jeonju department store before opening Camellia Hub in 2014. She noticed that smaller regional chains lacked the analyst bench that large Seoul headquarters enjoyed — yet faced the same omnichannel complexity of reconciling store, marketplace, and warehouse figures every Monday morning.
The studio started with two clients in western Jeollabuk-do, producing handwritten sell-through summaries that evolved into structured weekly reports. By 2017, the team had grown to four analysts and moved into the current office on Gunsan-ro, where engraved brass index markers on report covers became a studio tradition borrowed from precision instrument craftsmanship.
Today we serve 47 retail clients across apparel, home goods, and specialty food categories. Our work remains analyst-led: every report includes human annotations on flagged lines, not just automated charts.
Our approach
We begin every engagement with a discovery session to map your data sources, category hierarchy, and merchandising calendar. Metric definitions are documented before the first report ships so your buying team and our analysts reference the same vocabulary.
Calibration against your internal figures is non-negotiable. We will not deliver a recurring report until sell-through totals match your POS exports within an agreed tolerance for two consecutive weeks.
Team
Hye-jin Park — Founder and lead merchandising analyst. Former category manager, specialist in apparel size curves and seasonal markdown timing.
Min-soo Choi — Senior analyst. Background in warehouse operations and inventory reconciliation between WMS and floor counts.
Yuri Kim — Report designer. Structures visual layouts with the brass-indexed format that makes weekly reviews scannable in under fifteen minutes.
Seo-yeon Oh — Client liaison. Coordinates data intake schedules and monthly review calls with buying teams.
Values
- Figure accuracy over speed. A late report with verified numbers beats an early one with reconciliation gaps.
- Documented definitions. Every KPI we track is written down so turnover in your buying team does not reset institutional knowledge.
- Regional presence. We visit client stores in Jeollabuk-do quarterly and offer on-site sessions in the Seoul metro twice yearly.
